The Story of Blushing Peony

The reason I love love is Michael, my husband of 31 years.

I learned, through planning and savoring every detail of our own wedding, what it meant to turn emotion into an experience.

Every flower was chosen with intention. Every element was thoughtful and deliberate. Every moment was considered. Every piece had form, function, connectivity, and purpose within, through, and beyond the context of the event.

What began as a dreamy, excited feeling inside me became something real, and shareable and beautiful enough to hold both meaning and memory. These many years later, our guests still tell me, and show, they have our wedding favors in their china cabinets, they still use them, and they still remember that day.

Planning and designing weddings and corporate events has tought me to think beyond decor and activities into how an event flows and feels and communicates through theme, destination, hospitality, gifting, and experiencing.

That is the heart of Blushing Peony.

Lauren brings a crisp creative vision, an instinctive understanding of what modern brides are drawn to, and an energy that makes every happening feel exciting and full of possibility.

She also brings an incredible scientific observation and procedure to Blushing Peony — her clarity, structure, and precision give her, and her brides, the ability to joyfully embrace a vision and apply both mindfulness and management to the process from the hypothetical all the way through to flawless execution.

There is something extraordinary about working together as a mother and daughter team. There’s a natural balance to our classical and fresh approach. We can instinctually connect to each other’s ideas and experiences to extend our reach through our familiarity. There’s a seamlessness to our flow that broadens the scope of every occasion.Together we are more than the sum of our parts.
